Radhiana Iskandar (Anna)

Radhiana Iskandar that also well known as Anna had been knowing softball since she was in high school.  This Indonesia First Baseman who was born in Balikpapan, 31 December 1977 did not like softball at first because it is an outdoor activity. When she was in 5-grade elementary school, she put her interest in Badminton, since her performance in badminton was not progressing, she finally moved into softball.

This sport was introduced by her PE teacher in high school which also to be the regional coach. Anna, who did not like softball at the beginning start to fall for it since her participation in junior national championship, 1994. Thence, she began to dedicate herself to softball and quit badminton.

Beside being a first baseman, the athlete who has inspired a lot of young players also choose right field and center field as her other position in softball. Her participation in bringing the name of Indonesia through Softball is not a doubt, it can be seen from the awards she got throughout championship.

The most memorable moment is when she got “The Best Slugger Asia” in Asian Games 2007 that was held in Jakarta. Anna is the only Indonesia player who got the award, lined with the other world best player such as the pitcher from Japan, Yukiko Ueno, which widely recognized as the fastest pitcher in women’s softball. “The Best Slugger Asia” became one of the historical moments in Indonesia softball, especially women softball.
She even shed a tear while received it.

2003 – 1st winner Regional National Championship (The best slugger, The best hitter, MVP)
2005 – Sea games, Philippines
2007 – Asian Games (The best slugger), Jakarta
2007 – Sea Games, Thailand
2010 – ASEAN CUP, Jakarta (The most RBI, Best players)
